Tony brings more than 25 years of experience managing operational entities, including, sales and marketing, professional services, product management, product engineering and delivery services. Prior to Portable Internet, Tony Served as SVP Operations at SER Solutions, a leading call center technology provider. Tony spent three years at SER who had acquired VorTecs, Inc. where Tony served as President and CEO. Tony led the VorTecs team and introduced leading edge speech recognition technologies used to analyze conversational speech in contact centers, which led to the acquisition of the company. Prior to VorTecs, Tony was the chief operating officer at Isogon Corporation providing software asset management products and services for global 2000 companies. While at Isogon, Tony reorganized operating entities to sustain 30% annual revenue growth. Prior to this, Tony was the vice president of integration services for EIS International, a call center technology company. While at EIS Tony built and managed the pre and post sales technical group as well as project management, product implementation, product engineering and client services. Tony started his career at New York Telephone and held various positions in the areas of professional services, application development and systems analysis. A Vietnam veteran, Tony attended Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY on the GI bill, where he majored in marketing and minored in business administration.
Babar Farooqi, VP Technology
Babar has over 17 years of computer software industry experience with Computer Associates, Thor Technologies (now Oracle Corp), Cognizant, and Macro 4. As VP Product Development at Thor, he created the best-in-class Identity Management Solution. At Macro 4, he re-engineered the pre-sales process to generate 110% year-to-year growth and improved technical support productivity by 37%. At Computer Associates, he built a professional services team for the Midwest region. Babar has a B.S. and a M.S. in Computer Science.
Allen Adler, Controller
In his last assignment Allen served as controller and interim CFO for Voxware a software company that provided voice logistic solutions to warehouse and distribution market segments. He was a Controller, Quality Manager and Operations Manager for the NJ plant of Johnson Controls where he directed ISO9001 certification efforts and achieved six major awards for quality. Allen has also held accounting or controller positions with Epitaxx, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Applied Data Research (now Computer Associates). He has an MBA in Finance, MA, and a B.S. Degree.
Jeff Pierson, Director Product Management
Jeff has over 11 years experience in the Product Management/Marketing and design of software, services, and wireless network with companies such as Telcordia Technologies, Agilent Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, and Sprint PCS. Prior to joining Portable Internet, Mr. Pierson worked at Telcordia Technologies in the IMS Business Unit where he was responsible for Product Management of Location-Based-Services and deployment management of RF Optimization Solutions. Mr. Pierson also led the Product Management team at a start-up which led to a successfully OEM with Hewlett-Packard. Mr. Pierson’s career began as an RF Engineer with PrimeCo Personal Communications (now Verizon Wireless) where he designed and optimized the first CDMA PCS system in Orlando, Fl. Jeff has a BS from Lehigh University where he majored in Electrical Engineering.
