How it's Used
By the Administrator:
Portable Internet can be quickly set up and customized to meet your needs. Administers can add or change employees, change device settings, or customize forms to their changing business requirements using an ordinary web browser.
For the Dispatcher:
Dispatchers can view all their employees on a single map to quickly locate the closest employee for any job, and dispatch the nearest worker with a few clicks. They can run queries and reports, generate maps, and view a calendar to see who did what and when. They can dispatch directions from the employee's current location to an address or landmark, without entering city, state or zip code. Dispatchers can import or interface orders from CAD, customer service, CRM, ERP, Accounting/Billing, or SFA systems, review or correct progress reports, and export orders to back-end billing and other systems.
For the Mobile Worker:
Mobile workers can easily clock in/out, receive or send messages, be notified of new jobs with audio/visual alerts, get updated directions to a job location in as little as two button presses, scan bar codes,
receive geo-fence and other alerts, and update job status with a few button presses of a button - using a GPS-enabled mobile phone.
For Managers, Executives, and Business Owners:
Managers can quickly analyze results with built-in queries, drill-down reports, and export data to Excel and other programs to improve productivity, revenue, billing, collections and customer service. They can easily view data on orders, mileage, stops, speeding, location (longitude and latitude), timecard reporting, state mileage for fuel tax reporting, alerts, and more across employees or time ranges with up to 300 combinations of extracts,
Excel, web or print versions of reports, and scheduled reports via e-mail.
For Field Supervisors:
Field Supervisors can determine the location, speed and other information about tracked employees on an ordinary web-enabled phone, Blackberry or other WAP-enabled PDA. A map of employee's location is also available (Size and detail of map depends on display size of device used).
They can also receive alerts or reports via e-mail or text messaging (SMS).
For the Information Technology Department:
IT personnel can use Portable Internet's secure Web Services Interface to determine users' location, automatically request tracking data, dispatch orders or leads directly from a CAD, CRM, SFA system, and automatically send results back to their systems.
